My first independent entry into free enterprise was as a wellness
consultant for a top flight nutrition and weight loss company.
I was told that a condition for success was that I had to be a
‘product of the product’. The product got me then I got it and

to a bunch of grapes just ripening on a vine which had been trained over
a lofty branch. “Just the thing to quench my thirst,” quoth he.

Ninety percent of entrepreneurs are in a state of fear and panic in the new
economy. In spite of the bravado declarations such as – “where is the
recession?” many who have been successful, fear losing their magic touch
and develop a healthy dose of paranoia to ensure that they continue to succeed.

I am scared white (as a ghost) by the many clients and colleagues who have allowed the economic recession GOBLIN to move into their businesses. They are taking Flight instead giving the scarcity DEMONS a Fright and sending them on their way. Napoleon Hill’s classic “Think and Grow Rich”, (if you haven’t read it,
you really should), provided early documentation to show that our

My mentor Dan Kennedy tells the story of the demise of a one time favorite restaurant of his. Once it was the talk of the town and the spot to be, until competition moved in. He recounts how the owners went in day after day and just watched in paralysis until when the last customer left, he simply turned off the lights.

I recently launched my second Mentoring with the Marketing Masters Teleseminar series and wanted to do some split testing. With a little digging I successfully tested a feature on my thank you page, and then I wanted to test the squeeze page and was stumped for nearly two days – wading through material on my shelf and putting a call out to my network. Even my shopping cart provider got in on the action. Unfortunately their initial advice took my system down for over four hours.

Whatever your business, I hope you’re making a profit.
If you can’t make money, you don’t belong in business and you won’t stay there for long. Business decisions made with something other than profit as the prime consideration are almost certain to be bad decisions.

I recently came across a posting from Great Life Lessons about the industrialist pioneer and auto industry mogul Henry Ford. I think you will find it encouraging. I know that your efforts and creativity to maintain and grow your business will be tested in the coming months. Some things are not going to happen as you have planned it, you may even have one or two ‘failures’ and might become discouraged at times.
Rest if you must, but press on, re-direct and fail forward as Henry Ford did.
